The Plastic Mine – Ribbon Lights

These small lamps grew from the tiniest plastic offcuts we saved over the years, pieces that intrigued us, though we never knew what they would become. Now they have found their purpose, ready to find a beautiful place on someone’s wall, sideboard or table.

Irregular factory offcuts become bold, circular accessories for indoors and outdoors.
We collect these forgotten plastic lumps for their striking shapes and vivid colours, approaching them like small sculptures. Each piece is sawn or CNC-milled, revealing unexpected marbled patterns hidden inside, always a moment of surprise.

To minimise environmental impact, we work with as little extra energy as possible, transforming the material into unique shelves, lights, mirrors or side tables that shine in any setting.

Our curiosity stems from our motto: “Don’t take the world for granted.”
By working consciously with materials and their impact, we create sustainable designs meant to last and to start conversations.

• materials: Polyethylene factory overproduction, Mirror plexiglass, LED in an aluminum housing.
• Including a mirrored hanging plate on the back of the USB light + 1 srew & plug.
• Excluding USB plug; you might already have one at home. Since we keep the environment in mind, it’s not included by default, but it is available for purchase through our webshop.
• The USB lamp has a 1.5 meter long white cord. You can order additional cord to extend it.

The studio has no influence on the colours and shapes, they depend on what the factory have on waste lumps. They choose the bizarre pieces to turn into musthave products. It is a great challenge and therefore every piece is unique!!
