concept/idea

fluidity of glass 
We sought for the contrast between the beautiful age-old glass blowing and the industrial steel, a contradiction and confluence.
We designed many steel pedestals with various grids to experiment with the flexibility and tension of glass. It is a research in form, counterform, fluidity, transparency, repetition, light, and reflections.

These vases are an ode to the glassblowing craft by literally placing it on a pedestal.
